PT Pupuk Kujang

PT Pupuk Kujang (the Company) is the largest shareholder of PT KIKC and a subsidiary of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). PT Pupuk Kujang was established on June 9, 1975 based on Notarial Act No. 19 dated 9 June 1975 by and before the Notary Soeleman Ardjasasmita, SH, in Jakarta.
PT Pupuk Kujang is a company engaged in the national fertilizer industry which carries out processing activities (transformation processes) of organic and inorganic materials through chemical processes, as well as various activities to support agriculture that are integrated with trading activities, or produce products in the form of goods and / or services have added value or higher benefits.
The PT Pupuk Kujang factories are built on 510 hectares of Dawuan, Cikampek, Karawang. The first plant is called Kujang 1A with a production capacity of 570,000 tons/year of urea and 330,000 tons/year of ammonia. It's construction is carried out by the main contractor Kellogg Overseas Corporation (USA) and Toyo Engineering Corporation (Japan). The construction of the Kujang 1A Plant lasted 36 months and was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soeharto on 12 December 1978.
Then in 2003 built a second plant called Kujang 1B. Construction of Kujang 1B with a production capacity of 570,000 tons / year of urea fertilizer and 330,000 tons / year of ammonia, the construction is carried out by contractors Main Toyo Engineering Corporation (TEC) Japan and supported by two domestic contractors, namely PT Rekayasa Industri and PT Inti Karya Persada Teknik.
