PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia
The factory which was built in 1989 and operated in 1990 was established to utilize raw materials of ammonia from PT Pupuk Kujang by producing Ammonium Nitrate. Ammonium Nitrate is used as a raw material in the manufacture of explosives. The Ammonium Nitrate are marketed to mining and construction industries.
This factory was established on 10 April 1987 with Notary Ms. Imas Fatimah, SH. The factory has been operating since 1 January 1991 and managed by PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia (PT MNK). The production capacity is 55,000 tons of Nitric Acid per year and 33,000 tons of Ammonium Nitrate per year. On 23 January 2012 MNK-2 Nitric & Ammonium Nitrate Acid factories have started operating, MNK-2 began its commercial operation on 1 February 2012 with a production capacity of 100,000 MT/ton per year.
